Stand Out? Blend In?
The above heading has the typical same conclusion. Be part of a crowd. Stand out in a crowd or blend in with the crowd. Who really cares about the crowd? Please note this is not a post from my heart that is pro-rebellion. It’s more of a pro YOU. Many of my readers know I am a big advocate of increasing your overall self-worth. No matter how old we are or where we are in society we have the potential of being a victim of society.
The crowd, so to speak, continues to try and mold us based on their own perceptions, will, wants…and quite frankly it is typically selfish and self-serving. If you don’t conform you can be a victim of bullying in school or at work. There is a ton of negativity that can easily make us question who we are and what we are. While doing my morning reading this quote from Dr. Seuss stood out and I am running with it today:
Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive who is
You-er than you! ~~Dr. Seuss
Who Really Cares About The Crowd?
So for a moment take a personal challenge. Why are you…YOU? Why are YOU happy? What empowers YOU? Who cares if you don’t stand out in a crowd. Don’t lose your identity by blending in. You are unique. You have a name. Your name stands for what you are and what you do.
