The Challenge of Absorbing Growth
I have been feeling a bit guilty lately. I am not sure if I should be or not so hence I have decided to write about it. The company I work for saw an amazing explosion of growth in 2011 and that is transcending already into 2012. You would think that something like this would make ecstatic and I really am. It helps me reflect on my overall vision and purpose when I started this journey for my new career. At the same time, the absorbing growth phase has given me much to ponder on. (more…)
Are We Asking the Right Questions?
2010 has been a whirlwind year of social media topics, strategies, engagement etc. I have had numerous conversations with all kinds of businesses and the simplest question that always comes into play is how does this all work? That may be such a short simple question but it really needs to be one of many we start working through.
When we reflect on major decisions in our life are we not reminded of the number of questions we ask ourselves? Whether it's choosing a soul mate, purchasing a home or selecting a career choice we work through a series of questions within ourselves in order to validate our decision or decisions we are making. How is that some of us have seemed to stop doing that for our businesses? Why are we looking at business as just mere transactions and statistical data? Social Media Insecurities- Part I
When first jumping into the social media world, it can be a bit daunting. You have no Twitter followers, perhaps no connections on LinkedIn or Facebook page members. It seems like an overwhelming task when you get into the space and see where others are standing currently. When I first got started for The Training Factor it was very daunting to me.
